Privacy policy

The short version: the Team Selector app collects no data about you or your players. There are no accounts, no analytics, no ads and no cloud. Everything you put into the app stays on your phone.

The app

What the app collects

Nothing. Team Selector does not collect, transmit or share any personal data. There is no sign-up, no login, no analytics or tracking SDK, no advertising and no server that your data is sent to.

Where your data lives

Everything you create in the app (club details, team names, player names, nicknames, shirt numbers, ratings, positions, availability, photos, coaches, lineups and training teams) is stored in a local database on your device only. It never leaves your phone unless you choose to share or export it yourself.

Player photos

If you add player photos, they are stored on your device alongside the rest of your data. The app asks for photo library access only when you choose to add a photo, and it never uploads photos anywhere. This on-device design is deliberate: many Team Selector users coach junior teams, and keeping children's names and photos off any server is the safest place for them to be.

Sharing and backups

When you share a lineup graphic or export a backup file, the app hands that image or file to iOS's standard share sheet. Where it goes from there (your group chat, your files, your cloud storage) is entirely your choice and happens under the terms of whichever app you share it to. Backup files are unencrypted so you can keep them wherever suits you; treat them like you'd treat a paper team sheet with your players' details on it.

Purchases

Team Selector is a paid app sold through Apple's App Store. Your purchase is handled entirely by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. We never see your payment details, and Apple does not tell us who you are.

This website

Feedback form and email

If you contact us through the feedback form on this site or by emailing feedback@teamselector.co.uk, we receive whatever you choose to send (your message, and your name and email address if you include them). We use it only to read and reply to your message. We don't add you to any marketing list, and we don't share it with anyone.

Hosting

This website is served by Cloudflare, which processes standard technical request data (such as IP addresses) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse, as described in Cloudflare's privacy policy. The site itself sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers.

Your rights

Because the app holds your data only on your own device, you're already in full control of it: you can edit or delete anything in the app, use the built-in "Delete all data" option, or delete the app itself. For anything you've emailed us, you can ask us at any time to delete your correspondence and we will.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change how the app or this site handles data, we'll update this page and change the date at the top. Given the app's design, we don't expect much to change.
